Picture Book Workshop in France PDF Print E-mail
Spend a week in a 12th century chateau in the Loire Valley where you will learn the art of the picture book amid ancient stones and towering topiaries.  James Young, author and/or illustrator of over 20 books for children will lead a hands-on workshop in writing and illustrating picture books with an emphasis on taking home a book suitable for submission.  Create the picture book you know you have inside, explore the magnificent gardens, search for the secret passageway to Bluebeard’s castle, or just sit back and enjoy rustic French cuisine and the wines of the Loire. All levels are welcome, but space is limited.  Pass a week in the French countryside and be back in time for the SCBWI conference in Durham
