Image   What is Published and Listed?
During the semi-annual August Board Meeting, held after the 2008 Los Angeles SCBWI Conference, President Steve Mooser and Executive Secretary Lin Oliver and the board discussed ways to improve and increase our service for our professional, published members. The unanimous decision was to create a new tier of membership called PAL, signifying 'Published and Listed.' This membership exists alongside Full and Associate Membership.
This level of membership is open to those whose books, articles, poems, stories, illustrations, photographs, films, television or electronic media for children have been commercially published by one of the organizations listed in the SCBWI Market Surveys. Go to www.scbwi.org,  if you don't see your publisher listed on the drop-down menus, simply choose "Other" and enter the name of your publisher.
If you are not familiar with the new level of membership you can review page 4 of the November/December 2008 issue of the SCBWI Bulletin. Or you can go to http://www.scbwi.org/Pages.aspx/Levels-of-Membership for more information.
